Why PHP? PHP is arguably the most popular open source programming language in the world and will undoubtedly be demanded early on. With a wealth of developers in PHP its possible to have a working FSS very quickly.
Python
Why Python? By using Python, this software can be optimized for Google App Engine, allowing a way to create and distribute FSS across multiple domains and applications.
